Pretium Private School provides education in two languages, namely Afrikaans and English. The language policy states clearly that Pretium Private Schools provides parallel medium education from Gr 00 to Gr 12 (meaning English mother tongue learners in English classes taught in English).

In the dual medium classes management constantly strives to, if numbers permit or the timetable permits, for example, place learners of the same language together in a class where possible, especially in subjects like Mathematics, Science and Life Science.  This can however never be guaranteed because it depends on factors outside the school’s control, for example subject choice and staff allocations.

Pretium Private Schools will always strive towards keeping a balance between enrolling Afrikaans and English speaking learners.
